1992 - 2000
Second Attempt - Dissident Aggressor (1992)
Hard acid trance that paves the way for an all-nighter. |
Third Attempt - The Fast Track To Hell (1993)
One of the best hardcore tapes ever, a tale told by a mad hardcore DJ. |
Fourth Attempt - Disco Inferno (1994)
Out of control hardcore gabber, beginning at over 200+bpm and crash landing somewhere over 400bpm. |
Solar / Intercourse (1994)
Emotional sunrise trance double tape. Explores your inner energy. |
Plixx (1995)
Hard, German trance that maintains a beautiful edge including answering machine messages from Dans friends dissing his idea of making a hard trance mix tape. |
Freakout (1996)
Final hardcore gabber tape. This is a tribute to the many faces of Speedfreak, mixed in hyper-Efexian assailant style! |
The S.E.T.I. Project (1996)
Double tape done in conjunction with DJ Thee-o infuses all spectrums of acid trance. |
Next (1997)
Old intelligent trance from 1997, a classic. |
Protocol (1997)
Ultimate psychedelic acid, goa and cybertrance with 1,754% more colors than other psy-trance. |
Angel Of Death (1998)
One last round of hard core by request - this time in collaboration with Ron D Core. |
Epilogue (1998)
Exclusive double tape. The Excursions in Hardtrance tape is euphoric, intelligent sounding hardtrance with heavy 303s, and the Excursions in Goa tape is geometrical goa trance. |
Alien Disko Funk (1999)
Psychedelic trance and madly cyber-fused Goa Techno tracks by Metal Spark, Digitalis, Prana, Psychopod and more. Imagine clubbing on a space craft. |
Decryptd (1999)
Completely mindblowing cybertrance, psytrance, digitized acid techno, and catacombs of colorful techno orgasms. |
Another Plixx (2000)
A follow up to a favorite of many for many years, including more answering machine messages and that same classic german hardtrance extravaganza! |
~ Compact Discs ~
2000 - 2005
Ambient (2000)
Chill downtempo ambient for those lazy afternoons or for office cubicle daydreaming. |
Q101 Sonic Boom Segment (2000)
A 30 min trance mix featured on Q101 radio, where I started the mix with what listeners would have thought was a commercial, hehe. |
Portals (2001)
A good moving trance mix with a slightly clubbier feel to it stirred up with some of that efexian flavor you expect to hear mixed. |
Risen (2002)
The latest excursions in trance with hard energetic supersonic stellartronic driving beats. |
Early Hours (2003)
Soothing trance melodies for the drive home at sunrise. |
Energy (2003)
Hard, driving, energetic trance from 2003. Much along the same lines as 'Risen' - Energy is sure to keep it going from start to finish with this fine selection of driving trance tunage. GO FOR IT! |
d.N.x ~ p.D.m Psycheddelic.Dance.Music (2003)
My return to psychedelic trance since recording Alien Disko Funk in '99 and the birth of d.N.x. Most of the tracks aren't too hard, some have a few trancey undertones here and there but yeah..... |
A Wicked Tribal Ritual In Paradise (2004)
Recorded as a promo for the Winter Music Conference in South Beach this past spring, this CD is a combination of mellow-driving tribal trance, with a few tracks that sort of spell out the title. Those who have heard it understand..... |
d.N.x - Psykofunkadelica (2004)
More PSYTRANCE, yeah! This was recorded using only CD's, mostly from tracks I edited from compilations or vinyl on my computer, then burnt back onto CD, then mixed into this full-on kicker. The tempo's aren't too crazy for most, but some of the tracks might be. |
Another Wicked Tribal Ritual In Paradise (2005)
A follow up to the recent 'A Wicked Tribal Ritual In Paradise' this CD follows the progressive / tribal sound picking up right where the previous had left off. |
~ DigitaL ~
2005 - 2020
Fundamental (2005)
XM Radio Mix |
Becky's Coming Home...... (2005)
A very special mix for my beautiful wife, including most of her favorite songs she's asked me to mix for her for some time now. |
Dreamfields (2005)
Full-on hard driving psytrance dNx recorded live from Dreamfields Beloit, WI. |
d.N.x ~ Lick The Circuitboard (2006)
Another full on dose of energetic psytrance by d.N.x, the darker side of Dan Efex when it comes to driving energetic psychedelic basslines laced with twisted controlled analog mayhem spewing over layers of lush synthlines and cranium knocking percussive beats that show no mercy for the weak. This one starts right off by audibly showing you what happens when you lick the circuitboard, and then pounds the aftermath in your head for the next 80 minutes of your life thereafter. |
Summertime (2006)
Another Dan Efex mix completed in the month of March, the same time of year both 'Wicked Tribal Ritual In Paradise' mixes were recorded. I think the idea of warm weather and going to South Beach at the end of each March gets me in the mood for some of this type of stuff. If there were to be a final "Wicked Tribal Ritual In Paradise", this would be it. |
Velvet.Pixel.Mystizm (2006)
This mix features tracks that fall under the progressive trance and house umbrella, with a bit of etherialism behind most of them. This isn't stuff I'd generally play out, unless the sun was rising and everyone had been up all night dancing to high energy or fast techno. |
d.N.x ~ xS.Yv (2007)
Here's another energetic piece on the psytrance bit silently and secretly dedicated to the Iowa trance scene, this one's finally on the wire. For those who know what this is all about, here's your serving. |
As Heard By Others (2007)
Here's a long one on the tech progressive tip that turns into techno that transitions to some trance and then back towards some more progressive techno to I don't know. Call it what you want, I just picked the tracks and recorded it for how it's all heard by others. |
Episode: Infared (2008)
This one was recorded for a friends Radio Show - Roman Red. A progressive number with a techier less epic feel. |
d.N.x ~ Hirens Revenge (2008)
A wicked psytrance gem from d.N.x that delivers a nice full-on dose of bass that darkens out quite a bit later on in the mix. this should do your speakers some driving satisfaction. |
Running Up That Hill (2008)
So there's this track, "Running Up The Hill" that I've played a few times at some local parties here, right. The girls love this song everytime it's played and since hearing it the 1st time they've asked me to record it for them. Well after dragging my feet a little and being asked again or I get my ass kicked around, here it is. Proggy trancey almost house with a touch of vocals so you can sing along. |
Broken
Radio (2008)
Here's one I did before going to Miami in 08, cept there's no wicked tribal ritual. Following a techier sound, this progressive mix starts out funkier before heading along where you'd think you might go if you'd heard something like this before. If that doesn't make sense then give it a listen to hear for yourself... |
d.N.X
~ Imaginary Journey (2008)
Another psytrance stormer from d.N.x. Though this one won't take you to the dark realms that "Hirens Revenge" did after getting you all excited the last time around, it will leave you in your happy place and if anything, thirsty for more. |
Listen And Feel (2008)
After years of neglecting good emotional trance when it came to recording mixes, I've finally decided it was time to get off of the progressive techno for a bit and crank out a nice trancey gem - one that'll hopefully have you emailing soon telling me how the music has taken you somewhere. I am very happy with how this mix turned out, so if you're able to give this a good listen let me know what you think. |
Sticky (2008)
If your eardrums are soft or you don't like your speakers spitting acidic bass on everything around you, this might not be for you. Electro acid tech minimal house beat rhythm groove sensationalistic mash fantasticness is all that comes to mind when I think about what to say on this raunchy little cruncher...... |
Silky (2009)
Almost completely opposite to the last mix I did "Sticky", where everything is rough and raw - Silky is a smoother, softer collection of tracks on the lighter side of smooth. Soft, light textures for a smooth listening waterslide of elegant serenity. |
One Morning (2009)
Following my last mix "Silky" this one's another mellow melodic chiller for those laid back moods you find yourself in every now and then. If you live where there's palm trees and more-so, have palm trees on your property I want to live there.... I think this one's for you. |
Dan Efex Vs. The 24-bit Whore (2009)
2 heads and one body dueling it out over electric-shock progressive and dirty electechno.... or something along those lines. You can forget about those last 2 mixes above this one softy, this is something similar to Sticky with some pretty raw bass electro groove interlaced with some proggier sounds. In the end a mess was made, some people were hurt and some left happy. Where will you stand? |
d.N.x - Swim Down The Breath Of A Dragon (2009)
FINALLY, after all these months and the past few slow down tempo Dan Efex mixes D.N.X busts out this trancey psytrance slammer, following a 'too many' months phase of hibernation since "Imaginary Journey" and "Hirens Revenge". Something sparked somewhere and put some fire under his butt recently, bringing us THIS energetic piece. TAKE IT! |
Nothing Special (2009)
Just another one of those progressive bits that came together after gathering enough tracks to make it all happen. Give it a listen and let me know what you think, I'm not sure what else to say about it right now other than it's "Nothing Special". |
Ego Proxy (2010)
something I did with a bunch of darker-edged techno tracks I'd collected recently with a lot of analog bass influence behind them. I thought it might turn out a little repetitious all together because there's nothing trancey in this mix with the track selection I chose, but after recording it as many times as I did to get it right I found it in the end to be something entirely different enjoy! |
Sunrise (2010)
This years progressive mix, I've had sitting around for a little while before finally finding the time to record it. It's something along the dancey progressive tip to try on in the morning for a days journey ahead. |
d.N.x ~ Psychotopia (2010)
Energetic uptempo psytrance boucing off its predecessor "Psykofunkedelica" this full on psytrance gem is an excellent follow. Words fail me right now folks, I don't know what else to say.... I'm sitting here floating four feet above my desk pumping my fists around 149 bpm while shooting lasers out the window. It's definitely the music...... |
